Your Hair
Hair loss during chemotherapy treatment can be traumatic and can become a negative factor in the recovery of the person affected by cancer. That is why an oncological wig is very important even if it does not seem like it. A wig greatly supports a person's self-esteem and emotional well-being.
Thirty percent of the wig is machine made and the other 70 percent is hand made. An oncological wig can cost anywhere from $ 1,000 to $ 1,500 on the market. This is a heavy burden for many people affected by cancer here in Aruba and around the world. Now at Mary Joan Foundation we have the possibility to make our own oncological wigs in Aruba and give them to those affected people, totally free.
